DUDES, LET IT GO ALREADY:
[Law enforcement officials] said they have read reams of e-mail and cellphone records and interviewed hundreds of witnesses but have found no explanation for [Seung Hui] Cho’s actions. In fact, they said, they may never know why Cho started at the dorm, waited more than two hours and then killed 30 more people at Norris Hall.
Get out your pen and write this in the file: “The bastard was nuts.” That’s why. Now let it go.

The people doing all the hand-wringing about why Cho committed his crime do not believe there’s any such thing as good or evil. The simple answer, which is (A) that he was nuts and (B) that he was evil, does not compute for them because it isn’t politically correct.
And yes, (B) is just as important as (A). There are a good many crazy people in this world who wouldn’t harm a flea. Cho did what he did because he was botn crazy AND evil.
Again, when people refuse to make value judgments, they must anguish over why mass murderers kill. And all too often, these idiots actually manage to draw the conclusion that IT WAS SOMEHOW THE VICTIMS’ FAULT.
It is a slur on the good name of the victims of this tragedy, as it is in any other, when the media’s official, morally-illiterate hand-wringers insinuate that the fate they met was one they somehow brought upon themselves.
Lori, You’re right. He was crazy and evil. I agree fully.
